PATRON CODE OF CONDUCT

Welcome to our entertainment facility!

We operate in accordance with all Policies, Procedures and Standards of the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCC) and the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO), and the Gaming Control Act,

S.B.C. 2022, c. 29 (the Gaming Control Act).

The following are conditions for entry and enjoyment of our facility:

  • Patrons must be a minimum of 19 years of age and must present valid government-issued photo ID for entry. Patrons may be asked to present their ID at any time during their visit.
  • No illegal drugs, weapons or outside alcoholic beverages are permitted in our facility.
    Bags and parcels may be subject to search upon entry.
  • Patrons may not act in an aggressive, abusive, harassing or intimidating manner towards staff or other patrons, or engage in illegal activities, or activities that, in Gateway’s discretion, compromise the integrity of gaming or the safety and security of Gateway’s employees and patrons.
  • Unauthorized photography, filming and live streaming is not permitted.

Patrons who do not comply with the conditions for entry and enjoyment of our facility will be asked to leave the facility, and will not be permitted reentry for a period of 24 hours, or the duration of any ban or trespass notice issued to the patron by Gateway, IGCO, or BCLC.

Entry into our facility will be refused in the following circumstances:

Gateway determines that a patron is showing signs of intoxication by drugs or alcohol, in accordance with Gateway’s policy on responsible alcohol service;

  • Gateway becomes aware that a patron is registered in BCC’s Self Exclusion program (Game Break);
  • IGCO, BCLC or their agents have banned a patron from entering a gaming facility in accordance with the Gaming Control Actor any IGCOor BCLpolicy or procedure;
  • A patron is wearing clothing or accessories or displaying signs that Gateway reasonably determines are gang-related or otherwise inappropriate, or otherwise in accordance with any law enforcement program in which Gateway may participate; or
  • Gateway has reasonable grounds to believe that the patron is unlawfully on the premises, is on the premises for an unlawful purpose or is contravening the law on the premises.

If a patron does not comply with a request to leave the facility or the premises, Gateway may remove the person or cause the person to be removed by no more force than is necessary.
